Matthew earned his bachelor degree from Michigan State University where he studied political science and history. Mr. Sklut studied law at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School where he graduated cum laude in 2015. While earning his juris doctorate, Mr. Sklut distinguished himself in moot court competitions – winning the “Top Oral Advocate Award 2013.” He was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in November 2015 and practiced with a busy personal injury firm before joining our Firm in February 2018.

Mr. Sklut has extensive knowledge of personal injury litigation, especially with regards to automobile accidents and Michigan’s No-Fault Law. He also handles insurance coverage, general casualty and employment law and federal labor regulations compliance.

Matthew is a classically trained musician who enjoys traveling with his wife, running with his dog, and volunteering with multiple charitable and non-profit organizations. He is also an ordained minister (officiant) and has been conducting weddings since 2013.
